CSE cuatro

Craig Thomason was a great friend, it sounds like he was always happy and had a very light way to be wicked wise, he gave so much to his friends, and they learned from him. He died of melanoma on September 6th, 2007 on his 31st birthday.

Craigstock is a benefit his friends organize every year, to celebrate his life and to raise money for Cancer Research and other  cancer related organizations, Craigstock East is held in Lexington KY and West in Denver CO.

I was very lucky to assist to CSE cuatro this past September 25th, this people do a great job, from t-shirts to commemorate the event that, sponsored by South Central Bank, so all the profits went to Center for Courageous Kids ( http://www.courageouskids.org )  A silent auction, in which, one of my butterfly bracelets, along with a bunch of cool things, like zip lining adventures through Mamoth Cave Park, a signed poster of Wide Spread Panic (his favorite band), paintings, photographs, an  i pod, etc, donated by the same friends who organized it.  Such an event would not be complete with out great bands, that also donated their time: The Barry Mando Project, The Tallboys of Kentucky, Coralee and The Townies and Freekbass Sherman and Tobotius in a great venue like Cosmic Charlies  It was a great time and I'm very thankful to have become friends with this wonderful people.  And the fun keeps growing, this year they had the first Disc Golf Tournament!

Craigstock West 2010 is November 13th at The Other Side in Denver and more details can be found on their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/Craigstock-East-and-West/123515227697978?ref=ts
